The Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) has been longlisted for an award by the One World Media, an international organisation recognising outstanding media reports and platforms.

FIJ was longlisted alongside nine other media outlets around the world under the press freedom award category, previously known as the special award. The award celebrates independent media organisations in the global south using their platforms to address interrelated socio-economic and political issues.

“For an independent media organisation based in the global south using media to address social, cultural, political and economic issues,” the award organisers said.
