FIJ observed that a certain Onwuraah Ayadiufu, one of APGA’s agents, issued yellow cards to voters after gathering their names. Ayadiufu (pictured in black clothes and a red cap) also asked voters to wait behind after voting for the disbursement of funds.

“I don’t know what they’re doing now. They gave us yellow cards and said we should vote APGA,” an impatient voter told FIJ. “They collected our names and said we should go home. When they start sharing money, we’ll hear.”

FIJ gathered that voters are expected to present the yellow cards to claim N20,000 each after the voting exercise.

“They have devised an indigenous way to beat the system,” observed one of FIJ’s reporters covering the election.

“They are not giving the money in public. They might even end up deceiving the voters by pocketing the money and not contacting them later.”
