The Osun State Police Command will carry out an autopsy on the body of Timothy Adegoke, the MBA student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) whose dead body was found near Hilton and Resorts, Ile-Ife, on Monday.

A source close to the deceased’s family told FIJ that the post-mortem was to be carried out on Friday but the family insisted on having their own pathologist present during the examination.

“The police contacted the family on November 19, saying they were ready to conduct the autopsy that same day. However, the family members of the deceased objected to it,” the source said.

“This was because the family had also made arrangements for its own representative, who is also a pathologist, to be present when the exercise would take place. The family does not want the report to be manipulated or tampered with. The Osun State Police Command has agreed to this new arrangement.”
