A man hit by a private car has died helplessly around Fadeyi area of Lagos, on Friday.

According to eyewitnesses, the life of the man, identified as an official of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), could have been spared if passers-by and on-lookers had taken him to the hospital for treatment.

FIJ gathered that officials of the Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA) watched as the man writhied in pain.

Eyewitnesses also told our reporter that LASTMA officials were only taking pictures of the man struggling for breath, rather than come to his aid. They also watched as the driver who hit the man drove away, without making attempts to trail him.
