15.12.2021 news Police Keep Adegoke’s Family in the Dark One Week After Receiving Autopsy Report

Olugbade Adegoke, the elder brother of Timothy Adegoke, the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, MBA student, who died under mysterious circumstances in November, said the police are yet to brief the family on the autopsy report one week after receiving it.

Olugbade told FIJ that the family is not aware of the alleged plan of the police to conduct a fresh post-mortem on the Adegoke’s body as reported by some media platforms,.

“What we were told when the report was submitted was that we would be briefed once the autopsy report was ready to be announced, and we are still hoping the police will do that,” he said.

“We are yet to hear from the police after the report was submitted to them one week ago. All we know is that the report is still with them at the force headquarters in Abuja.”

He also said he is confident his family will get justice after police investigation.

FIJ made several calls to Frank Mba, Nigeria Police spokesperson, but they were not answered. A text message sent to him had not been responded to at press time.
