Terrorists wreaking havoc in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State surveyed Galadima Kogo on Saturday morning and invaded Gyaramiya, a nearby village in the evening.

Sources said the villages, though not in the same ward, are not far from each other.

“In the morning, few bandits entered Galadima-Kogo without saying anything to anybody,” a source said.

According to the source, they only looked around to study the situation of things in Galadima, where a temporary security formation had been situated.

After sighting the criminal elements, residents started vacating their homes to the nearest informal Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp. But it was to their surprise that no attack was launched in Galadima Kogo. Instead, the bandits rained terror in Gyaramiya around 08:30 pm.

As of press time, the number of casualties is yet to be ascertained. The routes to the village, sources said, cannot be accessed at the moment.
