Ayuba Wabba, the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), has said that a car dealer in Kaduna was the contractor of the thugs who disrupted the rally in the state on Tuesday.

On Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’, Wabba said that in the early hours of Tuesday at 6am, the Congress received information about plans by the government to use hired thugs to disrupt the protest and that he had given evidence to security agencies.

“The contractor of those thugs is Alhaji Hassan Koska from Hayin Banki in Kawo, who is a car dealer and we have it on clip,” Wabba said. “We have shared the clip with all the security agencies. I called all the offices of security operatives in Kaduna and gave them this information.”

The Labour President insisted that there was evidence.

FIJ had reported Wabba saying that one person suspected to be one of the thugs, died on the spot after he was hit by an object.
