The terrorists who abducted over 60 passengers of a train heading from Abuja to Kaduna on March 28 have released a video showing them flogging the remaining 43 captives while accusing President Muhammadu Buhari of stalling negotiations.

The video, sent by the terrorists to family members of the abductees at about 11 pm on Saturday, was made available to FIJ by a source whose brother remains in captivity.

In the video, some terrorists flog men seated on the floor in an unknown location. As the flogging halts, female captives come into the frame. One of them cries out and rues voting in Buhari.

One of the captives speaks on camera, begging the international community for assistance in their release.

The unnamed man accuses the Nigerian government of abandoning them. He calls on India, USA, the United Nations (UN), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and other international bodies to intervene.

After he speaks, one of the terrorists can be heard in the background saying the government is attempting to rescue them with force and not setting up any committees to negotiate.

Our source said he saw his brother in the video, and that it was the first time he was seeing the terrorists beat the abductees.

The terrorists released 11 hostages on June 12 and seven more on July 9. On July 12, a family member of the abducted victims told reporters that the terrorists asked each family to pay N100 million.
