27.07.2022 Featured Two Nigerians Killed at a Nightclub in Canada

Two Nigerian security guards identified as Tosin Arowoshegbe and Eze Momah were killed in a shooting that occurred at a nightclub in Vaughan, Toronto, Canada, in the wee hours of Saturday.

The killers were said to have fled the scene of the incident before the police arrived, and a female victim, who sustained serious gunshot wounds, was immediately taken to the hospital for medical care.

According to a media statement released by Constable Maniva Armstrong, York Regional Police stated that Tosin, 25, and Eze, 22, were pronounced dead at the scene of the fatal shooting, which took place around 3:30 am.

The statement read, “On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at approximately 3:30 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a nightclub in the area of Highway 7 and Keele Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene they located three victims with gunshot wounds.

“A 25-year-old male and a 22-year-old male were pronounced deceased at the scene. A 20-year-old female victim was transported to hospital suffering from a serious gunshot wound. The victim is currently recovering in hospital. The suspects(s) fled the scene prior to police arriving.”

York Regional Police also revealed that they were seeking help from anyone willing to come forward with evidence to aid their search for the killers.

“Officers are appealing to any witnesses who may have been in the area or in the establishment at the time who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward,” they said.

“Investigators are also seeking any cell phone video or photographs from inside or outside the establishment, video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.”

The operators of the nightclub posted condolence messages revealing that the deceased victims were their employees.

“With heavy hearts today we are deeply saddened by the senseless shooting that took place outside of ATL Lounge last night taking the lives of our security guards Eze and Tosin,” the message stated.
