At about the same time a video of the singer’s arrest was being circulated on Monday morning, a statement from Big Step Consultancy, the concert’s organiser, surfaced online.

Big Step vowed to hold everyone responsible for the concert’s failure accountable, suggesting that the company was responsible for Kizz Daniel’s arrest.

”We would like to assure the entire public and fans who paid and showed up for the event that we are doing all that we can to ensure that appropriate measures are being taken to ensure that everyone involved is held accountable and our customers and fans are taken care of and we kindly request your patience as we deal with this,” the statement read in part.

In one of the videos of Kizz Daniel’s arrest, he is escorted by the Tanzanian police into a waiting truck, and someone says, Kizz Daniel, you will go in for it. You will go in for it. You caused the damage to this country. You must go in for it.”

SUMMER AMPLIFIED’s organiser also apologised to the public in its statement. It said, “Big Step Consultancy wishes to apologise to the public for what happened at the SUMMER AMPLIFIED concert slated for Sunday, August 7th, 2022, where the headliner artist Kizz Daniel (who was fully paid) failed to perform as planned.”
