Zenith Bank has made a refund of N104,614 to Victoria Illo, an Anambra-based nurse, who had a series of failed transactions in December.

Illo told FIJ on Wednesday that she had got a full refund.

“Thank you very much, FIJ. I don’t know how it was done, but I am grateful,” she said.

She had told FIJ how Zenith Bank deducted her money after she tried in vain to renew the medical licences of five of her colleagues. She said N11,298.25 and N13,486.25 were deducted from her account after failed transactions at different times on December 3, and on December 5, she lost N26,912 and N52,858 at different times.

Illo told FIJ that she had been in the licence renewal business for a long time and she had never experienced a failed transaction that lasted for a month.

The nurse also said she had gone to the bank, sent emails and made phone calls to no avail. However, the entire debit was reversed a few hours after FIJ reported her experience.
