02.09.2022 Featured Lagos Police Arrest Ice Prince for ‘Abducting’ Officer

Panshak Zamani, a Nigerian hip-hop artiste popularly known as Ice Prince, was arrested in the wee hours of Friday by the Lagos State police for driving without licence plates and assaulting a police officer.

In a tweet, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson of the command, said Ice Prince was arrested around 3 am.

According to Hundeyin, the singer kept in his car a police officer who accused him of driving without licence plates, threatening to throw him in a river.

“At 3 am today, @lceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today,” he said.
