23.06.2021 news Traditional Leader, Wife Kidnapped at Oyo-Ogun Border

Chief Tafa Apanpa, a traditional leader over Araromi village in Bakatari area of Ibadan, Oyo State, and his wife, have been kidnapped, FIJ can report.

Bakatari is one of the towns within Ido Local Government area at the border axis of Oyo state with Ogun state.

A source told FIJ that the abductors whisked away the two people while it was raining on Tuesday evening.

Adewale Osifeso, the Oyo State Police spokesman, said efforts were in “top gear towards rescuing both victims and as well apprehend the abductors”.
