The Nigerian army and the police on Thursday fired tear gas at members of the #EndSARS movement who gathered at the Lekki Toll Plaza to commemorate the second year anniversary of the monumental protests of October 2020.

So far, four youths have been detained by the police with a claim that they were at the gathering to “cause chaos”.

The heavily-armed soldiers and policemen also sprayed ‘acid water ‘ on Nigerians present at the Toll Plaza.

Some journalists from media outfits in the state were also harrassed by the law enforcement officers.
