Bandits have set vehicles belonging to the Nigerian Army ablaze in Zamfara State.
The marauders destroyed the military armoured personal carriers during an attack on the Dansadau community in the Maru Local Government Area of the state.
The armed gang who raided the community in the early hours of Friday killed three residents and abducted seven others, according to Channels TV.
This attack occurred few days after bandits in the state shot down an Alfa Jet belonging to the Nigerian Air Force. Flight Lieutenant Abayomi Dairo had narrowly escaped after the aircraft that was supposed to crush the bandits was brought down by the gunmen.

In the same state, on Sunday, marauders raiding Kurar Mota, a community in Bungudu Local Government killed 13 police officers and three civilians.
Security agents are becoming targets of the bandits in Zamfara, one of the hottest zones of banditry, kidnapping and allied crimes in the northwest.
