At least 10 Lagos residents have been killed in a road accident that happened around Mile 12 Market on Tuesday evening.

FIJ learned from eyewitnesses who were at the scene that the accident was caused by a trailer trying to swerve into the main road.

Some of the eyewitnesses said that the people killed were those waiting by the Mile 12 bridge and hawkers advertising their wares in traffic.

When FIJ arrived at the exact spot of the accident around 7:40 pm, an ambulance was seen leaving the scene of the accident with the victims.

Witnesses gathered at the scene stated that some people who sustained injuries in the accident were still awaiting help.
