Eleven days after N2 million disappeared from the bank account of Adewale Mustapha, a visual designer based in Abuja, the United Bank for Africa (UBA) has reversed his money.

FIJ had reported how Mustapha woke up to some debit alerts for a Sportybet transaction he did not initiate on October 23.

The customer care representative he initially spoke with told him to forget about retrieving the money. However, on Friday, November 4, Mustapha told FIJ that the money had been reversed.

While expressing his appreciation to FIJ, Mustapha said, ”The bank has reversed the money. I am so grateful to your organisation.”

“The money was refunded on Thursday, this week.”
