Less than two months after Amino Mohammed, a student of Federal University, Dutse, was freed from the jigsaw of the Department of State Services (DSS) for posting about the body size of Aisha Buhari, another set of Nigerians have been arrested by the police on the order of the wife of the president.

Victims of the latest arrest are Zubairu Ahmed, Salisu Isyaku and Salisu Habib, according to Daily Nigerian.

The trio were said to have been arrested and detained on the presumption that they were in contact with Kaltim Ahmed, a self-styled Hausa rights defender living in Saudi Arabia, who took a swipe at Buhari in a YouTube clip.

Since their arrest on December 4, 2022, the suspects have been held incommunicado, while family and friends are in the dark as to their fate in the hands of state operatives.

According to the newspaper, Ahmed, who spoke in Hausa, alleged that President Buhari deceived Nigerians to get to power and his election had exposed all the Fulani people.

“Your husband deceived us, lying and crying. It is good that we elected him, and his election has exposed all the Fulanis in Nigeria,” she was quoted to have said.

“Your government is silent about the killing of Hausa people by Fulani. The southerners have rained all manner of abuses against you, but you are silent. Now you are here intimidating northerners.”

The newspaper also explained that a security source at the presidency said that one of the suspects, Salisu Isyaku, is a bureau de change operator, who was arrested for changing Saudi riyals to naira for Ahmed.

“Initially, he was charged with terrorism financing but later changed to cyber stalking when police realised that the transaction between them was not up to N500,000,” the newspaper revealed.

“The police are under intense pressure from Madam (the First Lady) to deal with the suspects. She wanted the suspects to be charged.

“Even the release of Dutse university student was not done with her consent, and she was angry with the IG (Inspector-General of Police) over the withdrawal of charges against the boy.”

Listening to the audio clip posted on a YouTube channel, @Jaruma Hausa TV-News, FIJ could hear the woman allege that Aisha Buhari had been using her office to enrich herself and her cronies in the twilight of her husband’s administration.
