Simon Ekpa, a popular separatist and former Radio Biafra anchor, has been arrested by Finnish authorities for interrogations.

According to Helsingi Sanoma, a Finnish publication, Ekpa was arrested by the Finnish police and escorted out of his house in Lahti on Thursday.

This arrest followed Ekpa’s intensified attempts to enjoin people in the southeast to forgo the coming elections scheduled for February 25.

Helsingi Sanoma revealed that they had agreed on an interview with Ekpa at his apartment near Lahti market on Thursday, but when they got there, they met the police.

FIJ could not confirm the news from Nigerian sources, as a call to Geoffrey Onyeama, the Foreign Affairs Minister, was not answered.
