The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has made a refund of N12,000 to Augustina Okafor, the Enugu-based data analyst whose money was trapped after a PoS transaction.

Okafor confirmed the refund to FIJ on Wednesday, nearly six weeks after a publication on her experience.

“I just want to let you know that the failed PoS transaction of N12,000 on February 28 has been refunded,” she told FIJ.

On March 27, FIJ reported how Okafor’s N12,000 was trapped after a failed PoS transaction.

Okafor had told FIJ the amount was deducted in tranches of N12,000 and N27,400 on February 28 and March 4 respectively.

“On February 28, I went to a PoS shop to withdraw some money,” he said.
