An Ibadan-based student in Oyo State has accused Aero Contractors of delaying her refund for over four months.

The student, who asked to be anonymous, told FIJ that she asked for a refund following the company’s advice to do so after it cancelled her flight a day before the scheduled date of departure.

She said she had paid N63,350 for a Lagos-Abuja flight scheduled for June 17 but immediately after she learnt of its cancellation, she fulfilled all the requirements for a refund.

“After I sent the email, they acknowledged it but that was the last time I heard from them. Ever since, I have been waiting for them to refund me but it seems they are deliberate about withholding people’s money,” she told FIJ.

“When I was leaving Abuja for Lagos after I travelled with another airline company, my husband and I met with Aero Contractors staff at the Abuja Airport to ask why I had not been refunded.

“They blamed me, saying I probably did not do all I was supposed to do. Then one of their staff collected my phone and emailed their help desk but even at that, Aero Contractors are yet to refund me.”

FIJ emailed Aero Contractors for comments but they had not responded at press time.
