Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has appeared at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Kanu arrived at the court premises around 8 am with Dr Bruce Fein and Ifeanyi Ejiofor, his lawyers, and Chukwuemeka Ezeife, a former governor of Anambra State, to resume trial on seven counts of treason and sponsorship of terrorism, among others, brought against him by the federal government.

Meanwhile, journalists and lawyers have been barred from the court premises, according to a report by Punch.

Police officers, operatives of the State Services Department (DSS) and soldiers are also stationed around the court premises.
