The Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) latest invention, eNaira Speed Wallet, is back on Google Play Store, 24 hours after its disappearance.

As of Wednesday morning, the eNaira wallet was missing on the Google platform while still available on the iPhone App Store.

After the application vanished, Mr Osita Nwanisobi, CBN spokesperson, said that an update was underway. He said, “There is an upgrade going on at the moment by Google; try in the next few hours.”

FIJ observed the application’s return with an update size 1.37 megabyte.

It now boasts of over 3,000 reviews, but with more than half of them a one-star rating. However, from 2.1 out of five earlier, the eNaira now has an overall score 2.2.

On Wednesday, FIJ reported that in less than 24 hours after the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) launched the eNaira, several users registered dissatisfaction with the functionality of its Speed Wallet application.

On Tuesday, the app had over 1,951 reviewers on the Google Play Store with about 980 giving it a 1-star rating. Currently, the eNaira Speed Wallet has over 100,000 downloads.
