Overland Airways has refunded the sum of N348,000 to Adesubomi Adegbite, an Ibadan-based lawyer whose flight was cancelled.

This came nine days after FIJ’s publication on the airline company dragging its heels over her refund of N350,000.

Expressing her gratitude, Adegbite said, “Although the refund is N2,000 shy of the actual funds, I appreciate FIJ’s efforts in getting this refund swiftly from the airline. Thank you!”

Previously, FIJ reported that Adegbite bought three flight tickets from Overland Airways on March 1 but did not fly with the airline because her flight was cancelled.

She said she booked Abuja-Ibadan tickets for herself and two others for N350,000 and was to depart for her destination on March 9 but the airline cancelled the flight two days prior in a text.

She said she applied for a refund after the flight was cancelled but until FIJ intervened, she got neither a response from them nor the refund itself.
