The Police in Osogbo, Osun State, have stated their readiness to transfer Rahmon Adedoyin, an Ife-based educationist and businessman who is also the owner of Hilton Hotel and Resorts, where a student died earlier in the week, to the Force Headquarters in Abuja if necesary.

Yemisi Opalola, the spokesperson of the Osun State Police Command, stated this on Thursday while speaking on Fresh FM Osogbo.

“Dr. Adedoyin is still very much in police custody here in Osun,” she said. “If, in the course of our investigation, we are required to transfer him to the Force Headquarters in Abuja, we would do so. For now however, he is still very much in our custody.”

Addressing the rumour that the deceased’s body bore signs of ritual killing, she said: “The deceased’s family members were present when his body was exhumed from the ground. A pathologist was also there, and so was the Commissioner of Police Olokode.

“Based on what everyone saw, his body looked intact, as all body parts were present when it was brought out from the grave.”

Adegoke was initially declared missing on November 7 by the Osun State Police Command before his body was discovered buried in a shallow grave near Hilton Hotels and Resorts eight days later.
