Israel has detected the first case of “florona” virus, a combined infection of COVID-19 and influenza.

IndiaTVNews quoted Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot as saying the instance of double infection was identified in a lady who entered the Rabin Medical Centre this week to give birth.

On Friday, Israel began giving a fourth vaccination shot for persons most susceptible to coronavirus, becoming one of the first nations to do so as it prepares for a surge of illnesses fuelled by the omicron variety.
