Access Bank on Friday refunded the sum of N200,000 to Daramola Nasiru, an account holder with the bank.

This comes following FIJ’s report on how the bank had failed to refund Daramola’s money since January 26, 2021.

At the time, Daramola had made a transfer of N200,000 from his Access Bank account to his Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) account via the Quickteller app, but Access Bank failed to credit the receiver account, GTB.

Ever since then, several attempts to retrieve his money proved abortive until today, 24 hours after FIJ’s story, when Daramola got credited with his money.

“They just reversed the money now. I’d already given up when I just got a message from Access bank. I thought it was my salary until I saw that it was credit reversal. I really appreciate the work you do,” Daramola told FIJ.
