Fakhuus Hashim, a Twitter user, has narrated how her cousin survived the Abuja-Kaduna train attack by jumping through the train’s window.

In a series of tweets on Monday, Hashim said her cousin climbed a tree in the area and remained there till he got help.

“My cousin has been found,” she wrote. “He jumped through the window and climbed a tree till help arrived. Very smart thinking kid. He was interrogated at first but released to the family.”

Hashim also revealed that her aunt, another victim of the train attack, was in dire condition at the hospital and still receiving treatment.

She said she had not yet heard from her other relatives on board the train when it was attacked.
