Didi Obioh, a car dealer, has accused Jennifer Nyesome-Effiong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder, Hachi Farms, of withholding her N2.5 million.

In December 2020, Obioh invested N3.5 million in Hachi Farms’ production of paddy rice. She expected to get a 15 percent return on investment (ROI) every three months. However, Nyesome-Effiong only paid her N526,500 as ROI and one million naira out of her capital.

“In March 2021, Nyesome-Effiong paid 526,500 as ROI,” Obioh told FIJ. “She also paid one million naira out of the capital when I told her I needed it for personal use. But since then, she has not paid anything else.”

In August 2021, it became apparent that all was not well. Nyesome-Effiong had told investors that the logistics manager made away with N250 million paddy rice.

“She told us that someone ran away with N250 million paddy rice but they were working on ensuring that everyone got their money. Since then, I’ve not got my money,” she said.

“When I called her again this month, she said she had been in the north. However, a friend told me she was seen in Port Harcourt with a new Benz at that time.”

FIJ made several calls to Nyesome-Effiong, but they were not answered. She had also not responded to a message sent to her line at press time.
