20.05.2022 Featured Student About to Lose NDA Admission Over Kaduna University’s Failure to Process Transcript

Jonah Akufai, a graduate of the Kaduna State University, has lamented the possible loss of his admission to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, over Kaduna State University’s refusal to process his transcript.

Akufai told FIJ that he started processing his transcript on February 8, but after four months, the school is yet send it to the NDA.

“In February, I applied to the NDA. My transcript was part of the requirements for my master’s admission into the NDA. I began the application process on February 8 and paid N11,000 for the transcript,” he said.

“The application portal has closed. When I called the NDA to know if the transcript had been sent, I was told it had not got to them.

Akufai said he risks losing his master’s degree admission if Kaduna State University does not process his transcript and send it to the NDA.

“Since the transcript is part of the admission requirement, I might lose the admission. Getting a transcript should not take that long. Sending it to a school within the same state shouldn’t be that difficult,” said Akufai.

When FIJ contacted the Kaduna State University, an official asked for Akufai’s details for confirmation.

“Please tell him to send his details. We will confirm at the student affairs,” he said.
