01.07.2022 Featured Customer’s N502,000 Still With Travelstart Two Years After Flight Cancellation

Tunde Makinde, a Lagos-based businessman, has accused Travelstart Nigeria of refusing to refund his N502,000 after his flight was cancelled due to Covid-19 on March 2, 2020.

Makinde told FIJ that he had booked the flight with the intent of traveling to England with his wife.

“We were hoping to travel to England in 2020, and I bought the ticket through TravelstartNG. As a result of the issue of Covid, we could not go again. I informed them to refund my money,” he said.

Makinde told FIJ that the company assured him several times that the money would be refunded but he got nothing.

“They have been promising me that the money will be sent back to me, but till date I have not seen it,” he said.

FIJ made several calls to Travelstart for comments, but they were not answered. Email and WhatsApp messages sent to the company had also not been responded to at press time.
