12.07.2022 Featured After FIJ’s Story, First Bank Returns N11,500 Deducted From Customer’s Account

First Bank has finally reversed a total of N11,500 to Chikwendu King, a Port Harcourt-based businessman who had narrated how he suffered a series of debits between July 19, 2021, and May 25, 2022, to FIJ.

King confirmed to FIJ on Tuesday that he received the money after an FIJ story detailing his one-year struggle to retrieve it.

“I have received my money from First Bank. Thank you very much, FIJ,” he said.

FIJ earlier reported how first bank failed to refund his money despite using all the necessary channels to file his complaints.

He told FIJ that he visited the bank severally, called and even reached out to them via Instagram but nothing was done about the multiple deductions.

King had received unauthorised debits of N5100, N3900 and N1500 within one year, all amounting to N11,500.
