Ugochukwu Nsofor Chukwukadibia, a man described as a billionaire drug baron, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in Victoria Garden City, Lekki, Lagos.

In a statement released by the agency on its official Facebook page on Monday, it disclosed that Ugochukwu, who had been on its list of wanted people for long, was arrested on September 30 for being the arrowhead of a drug smuggling syndicate in the country.

Chukwukadibia, 52, was said to be the leader of a tramadol-circulating cartel in Nigeria.

“Before his arrest, Ugochukwu (Chukwukadibia) who hails from Ihiala local government area of Anambra State has been on the agency’s watch list as one of those behind the tramadol drug cartel in Nigeria,” the statement reads.

“Preliminary investigation shows that he has about six mansions within the VGC, one of which he uses to warehouse the tramadol consignments, while he lives in the one at Plot Z-130 Road 67 and another as his office.

“Five exotic vehicles have also been located in two of his mansions, out of which two SUVs including a bullet jeep have been successfully removed to the Agency’s facility.”
