Joshua Rogers, a Channels TV reporter, has gained freedom from his abductors.

Sources confirmed his release on Friday night, hours after details of his abduction went viral.

Gunmen abducted Rogers on Thursday night near his residence in Rumuosi, Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State.

This happened after he covered the inauguration of a healthcare facility Peter Odili, a former governor of Rivers State, donated in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA.

He was returning home after the event when his captors abducted him.

These kidnappers called his family and demanded a N30 million ransom.
