An entrepreneur resident of Gombe State has accused Aero Contractors of dragging its heels, six months after she first requested the refund of her N91, 760.
The entrepreneur, who asked not to be named, told FIJ she had done all she could to get Aero Contractors to refund her but the company had remained silent.
She said she booked a Sokoto-to-Lagos flight ticket in August 2022, which was to take off on October 26 of the same year, but she could not go with the flight.

According to the entrepreneur, Aero Contractors emailed her on October 6 to inform her she could not fly with them as scheduled because they could not “re-protect her flight”.
The airline company also gave her the option of either requesting a refund or using the ticket in the future, but she went for the former.

“After I requested a refund, the airline told me I would get my money after 14 working days. But ever since I completed all that was necessary, the company has refused to refund my money,” she told FIJ.

“They have not responded to my email; when I call them, it goes directly to voice mail. When I messaged them on Instagram, the handler said she could give me an alternative, such as rebooking another ticket. I told her I did not plan to travel with them anymore, and that all I needed was my money.”
FIJ contacted Aero Contractors via the email address on its website, but the email kept bouncing back. A week earlier, however, the email was still functional.
FIJ also attempted to speak to the airline company via mobile calls, but their line did not connect at any point. They had also not responded to a text message sent to them at press time.
