Tizeti, a broadband internet service provider, has refunded Daniel Olusoga’s N73,500. This happened after FIJ’s intervention.

In January, Daniel paid Tizeti 73,500 via Paystack for the installation of the company’s network cable.

When the company received the payment, one of their staff members sent a confirmation email and informed him that the installation would be done on April 6.

To avoid disappointment from Tizeti, Daniel sent them a reminder via email on March 14. He told FIJ that the company’s customer care became unresponsive after he made the payment.

“Immediately after making payment, I noticed a significant decline in the responsiveness of their team, which raised concerns regarding the support I might receive in the event of issues with their service,” he said.

There was no response from Tizeti until April 6, when a staff member sent an email to inform Daniel that the installation would be rescheduled to April 18.

On the morning of April 13, he received a call from a staff member of the company informing him that the installation would be rescheduled one more time. This time, it was June 30.

Daniel was unhappy that he would have to wait six months before enjoying the service he had paid for. This pushed him to request a refund.

He told FIJ that for three weeks, there was no word from Tizeti and he had to resort to calling the company out on X (formerly Twitter). Yet he neither got a word nor a refund until FIJ intervened.

On April 30, FIJ emailed Tizeti and also sent a WhatsApp message to Adebayo Sansa, a member of the company’s sales department, who apologised and requested Olusoga’s details to process a refund.

At 9:22 pm, Olusoga received a credit alert notifying him that Tizeti had processed a refund of N73,500.

Three minutes later, he texted FIJ that he had received the refund.

“I have been refunded. Thank you, FIJ,” said Olusoga.
