20.04.2022 news After FIJ’s Story, Sabre Real Estate Refunds Client Whose Land Deal Was Cancelled

Mike Oyediran, a print contractor, has been paid the N450,000 he once accused Sabre Real Estate, a Lagos-based real estate firm, of owing him.

Oyediran confirmed this development to FIJ on Tuesday.

Hours earlier, FIJ had reported how Oyediran did not receive the outstanding amount from the firm after a land purchase agreement between both parties was unceremoniously cancelled by the company.

When FIJ first reached out to the firm following Oyediran’s complaints on April 19, Kehinde Adeleke, its Assistant General Manager, had said the customer would get his refund ‘soon’.

After the story was published, Adeleke reached out to FIJ with an evidence of repayment supposedly made to Oyediran on April 14.

“We sent the money to Oyediran on April 14,” he said. “I am sure the network delayed it.”

However, Oyediran told FIJ he only received the money yesterday.

“Thank you for being involved. I got my money in full now,” he said.
