The Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council of the Labour Party has retracted a publication containing members of the council, and promised to re-present an updated version.
This comes hours after public outcry over the inclusion of John Enenche, a retired military general who, in 2020, dubbed video evidence of the infamous Lekki tollgate shooting as “photoshopped”.

On Thursday evening, Yunusa Tanko, chief spokesman for the campaign council, tweeted that the council had noted the “issues raised” about the list released on Wednesday, and would “do the needful and an updated list will be released soon.”
Tanko, as of press time, made a single tweet, and gave no clarification on whether Enenche would be taken off the list or retained.
He also did not indicate when this new list would be made public.
