Officials of the Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB) have sealed and demolished an illegal gas plant built in a residential area in Nkpor, Anambra State.
Ifeanyi Agwuncha, a resident of the area, told FIJ that the gas plant belonging to Hariz Petroleum was demolished on Tuesday afternoon.
“Officials of the ANSPPB sealed the illegal gas plant and demolished the building. Humanity is spared of a huge disaster,” he said.

When FIJ contacted ANSPPB, a representative of the board declined to comment.
On Tuesday, FIJ reported that Hariz Petroleum returned to continue the erection of a gas plant near houses in Nkpor after it was reported to the Anambra State Department of Petroleum Resources.
