CMC Connect LLP, a Lagos-based public perception consulting and strategic communication firm, collaborated with Analysts Data Services and Resources (ADSR) to release a poll that claimed 62 percent of Nigerians believed Nigeria was moving forward under the administration of President Bola Tinubu on Sunday.
Several newspapers helped CMC Connect LLP publish its survey report on Monday. However, many Nigerians have since refuted CMC Connect LLP’s survey.
“…really? Let’s do one right now to your 1.6 million followers, shall we?” @jollynonny, an X user, replied Bashir Ahmad, the digital communications aide to former president Muhammadu Buhari, who shared the survey,’ claims, on Monday.

@jollynonny’s poll amassed 28,300 votes within 24 hours, 93 percent saying Nigeria was not moving forward under the Tinubu administration.

In another ongoing poll in response to Ahmad’s post, 91 percent of 9,353 voters disagreed with CMC Connect LLP’s survey. More polls with several thousand votes opposed CMC Connect LLP’s report on Tuesday.

FIJ had set up a poll on Monday in which 78 percent of 315 voters said that Nigeria was not moving forward under Tinubu’s administration, contrary to CMC Connect LLP’s report.
To understand the parameters and variables CMC Connect LLP took into consideration, FIJ visited the company’s website on Monday but it had not published the survey yet. CMC Connect LLP had also not published that survey on its website at press time.
CMC Connect LLP described itself as “a game-changer in Nigeria’s communications space, leveraging insight-driven, bold, and creative solutions that put our clients ahead of the game” on its website. The company also said that it had political lobbying as one of its areas of expertise.

“38% do not see the country moving forward under the current administration, while 62% do,” TheCable quoted the CMC Connect LLP’s report.
“51% of the respondents voted APC during the last election, 5% voted PDP, 32% voted LP, 2% voted NNPP, while 10% voted other parties,” the report stated.
