ASP Drambi Vandi, killer of Bolanle Raheem, the Lagos lawyer who was shot dead in the company of her family on Sunday, has been charged with murder.

Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the public relations officer of the Nigerian police, shared details of this on his Twitter handle on Friday.

Adejobi stated that ASP Vandi was arraigned for murder in a Lagos court. He added that the prosecution team was led by the Attorney General of Lagos State.

“The ASP, Drambi Vandi, who was alleged of shooting and killing Mrs. Bolanle Raheem on 25th December 2022, at Ajah, Lagos, has been charged to court today in Lagos. He was charged with murder and the AG Lagos leads prosecution team. We will regularly update you on the matter. Tnx,” he said.

Vandi is being accused of shooting seven-month pregnant Raheem while she was returning from church on Sunday, leading to her death. He reportedly shot at her through the car and the bullet went into her heart.
