VERIFICATION: FIJ found that the video originated from Delta State and was first published on the internet in 2020, during the EndSars protest. It is over four years old.
FIJ found multiple places where the video was published in October of the same year. One from Nairaland and the other two from different Facebook accounts.
FIJ also found that an X account once shared the video in June 2023.
CONCLUSION: The claim that Nigerians recently looted a trailer of goats under the Bola Tinubu administration is false, as the incident happened during the Muhammadu Buhari tenure.
