Unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani have attacked the house of Usman Bamaiyi, the Plateau State Commissioner for Environment, and kidnapped his wife and daughter.
According to The PUNCH, the incident happened on Saturday morning in Gindiri community, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

It was gathered that the armed men stormed the area in large numbers at about 2 am but could not find the commissioner.
One of the residents who confirmed the incident said the armed men fired several gunshots during the operation.
“Some heavily armed men came to Gindiri last night around 2am. They went straight to the house of the State Commissioner for Environment,” the resident was quoted to have said.

“The sound of gunshots fired by the gunmen was too much. When they eventually left, we discovered that they took the commissioner’s wife away alongside his daughter.”
Ubah Ogaba, Plateau State police spokesperson, said officers were on the trail of the kidnappers.

On April 3, Bandits attacked and killed the son of Mamman Tsafe, the Zamfara State Commissioner for Security Affairs.
The attack occurred close to the commissioner’s residence in Tsafe town, Tsafe Local Government Area. According to reports, two other residents of the village lost their lives.
