Beauty Davies, an Italy-based Nigerian lady, has been physically assaulted by her Italian employer after she demanded to be paid in full for her services as a dishwasher.
According to Italia a Tavola, an Italian news agency, Nicola Pirroncello, the 53-year-old owner of the Beach Club and Restaurant, where Davies worked in Calabria, southwest Italy, kicked and punched the Nigerian when she demanded to be paid the €600 salary she was being owed instead of the €200 she was offered.
As an aftermath of the attack which happened on August 2, the 25-year-old mother of one suffered an injury to the hand, bruises to her shoulder and a bleeding scalp.

Davies had the incident filmed and broadcast live on social media.
The public prosecutor’s office in the region has opened an investigation into the incident.
“Accounting evaluations are underway. The investigators are examining the data relating to the contract and the verbal agreement between the two parties,” said Filomena Pedullà, Davies’ lawyer.

“The girl (Davies) was sent a transfer of 200 euros when a fee of 600 euros was agreed.”
Pedulla also said the show of solidarity for Davies had been massive as she had received many employment offers from several businesses in Calabria on her client’s behalf.
The incident came barely two weeks after Alika Ogorchukwu, a Nigerian street vendor, was killed in broad daylight by Filippo Ferlazzo, a 32-year-old Italian who is alleged to be suffering from a psychological disorder.
