11.11.2023 Journalism JUST IN: Over 50 Percent of Bayelsa, Imo, Kogi Results Now on IReV Portal

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded more than 50 percent of results of the governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi State to its result-viewing portal.

FIJ visited the website this afternoon to monitor the progress of the electronic uploads and found that some results from the polling units in the affected states are now available.

For Bayelsa State, 59.94 percent of the results had been uploaded at 5:34 pm. The results represented 1,345 out of 2,242 polling units in the state.

Imo State’s results were at 58.87 percent upload stage. The state has 27 local government areas divided into 4,720 polling units. Of these polling units, 2,801 had their results on the portal when FIJ checked.

In the case of Kogi, 1,866 of its 3,508 polling units had been uploaded to the portal when FIJ checked. This figure represents 53.19 percent of the total electoral units. The north-central state has 21 local government areas.

There have been records of violence and electoral manipulations across the three states since the commencement of elections on Saturday.
