The inauguration of Abba Yusuf, the Governor-Elect of Kano State, has been halted after the podium where most of the activities were being conducted collapsed.
In a video shared by Premium Times, Yusuf and his deputy were about to be sworn in when the stage gave way.
Abba Yusuf, candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), was declared governor-elect of Kano State after winning the March 18 polls.
He will succeed Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, a member of the All progressives Congress (APC), who governed the state for eight years.
