Sunday Johnson, a resident of Lagos State, has accused Libmot Express, the logistics arm of Libra Motors, of leaving him in limbo after mishandling his water closet.

Johnson told FIJ that he had waited patiently for Limbot Express to take responsibility for the destruction of his property but they insisted that it was delivered as he gave them.

He said he paid Libmot Express N21,900 to convey a complete water closet and basin on December 18 from its Bariga office in Lagos to Aba in Abia State and they assured him the product would arrive at its destination within three days.

“But when the items got to Aba on December 23, it was different from what I entrusted them with,” Johnson told FIJ. “My brother noticed that one of the items was shattered upon lifting it. Their staffer then opened the carton and validated his claims. He then made a video and sent it to me.”

A chat with the customer service number on WhatsApp

Johnson said he did not feel bad after learning about the state of his water closet because he was dealing with a known logistics company. Afterwards, he went to the office in Bariga to inform them of the status of the product but they did not attend to his complaints satisfactorily.

He said a staffer referred him to the customer service department and he messaged them on WhatsApp with the details of his transaction and waybill. The respondent assured him of a response but did not do so until he messaged again.

“The next response I got from from them was that I gave them the items broken. I then sent a picture of the item while it was in Lagos before it left their terminal for Aba. All intact. Since December, there’s been no form of response. I have been left hanging. The item is broken and it seems there is nothing I can do about it. But I need to be compensated,” he said.

When FIJ contacted Libmot Express via its customer service on WhatsApp, they said they would investigate the issue and get back to this reporter. Days after, they’ve said nothing.
