Idowu Ogundipe, a Nigerian based in the United States, has accused Air Peace, an airline company, of failing to treat his request for a refund of N70,000.
Ogudipe told FIJ he opted in for a refund because the company cancelled his flight.
He said he booked two Air Peace flight tickets for himself and his mother in March for April 2, but he could not travel with the airline.

The airline, according to Ogundipe, emailed him on the eve of the day of departure to inform him that they had cancelled the flight because they had insufficient aeroplanes, thus leaving him confused.

“My mother and I were to fly on April 2 from Lagos to Akure during the Easter preparation period. On the eve of the flight, Air Peace cancelled flights because of insufficient planes,” Ogundipe told FIJ.
“Ever since, we’ve been following to get the money. They have asked for our National Identification Number, Bank Verification Number, and a letter signed by us, which we have done. But my money is still with Air Peace. It is a month now.”
FIJ called Air Peace on one of its lines but it did not connect this reporter to a call representative. The airline has not responded to an email sent to them at press time.
