Multiple floods have washed away hundreds of properties and lives in different states in Nigeria this year alone.

President Muhammadu Buhari said that the flooding has “affected about 500,000 Nigerians since the beginning of 2022, in 22 states and the FCT”.

For those affected by the flood, the impact on homes and infrastructure has been catastrophic.

Pictures of flooding have emerged from over 20 states in Nigeria. Some of these images tell a better story of the flooding disaster.
