Four yet-to-be-identified police officers have been filmed drinking at what appears to be a public bar in an unknown place.

In an 18-second clip shared on Twitter by @LPartyNews24, the police officers, who are in their uniforms and holding their rifles, discuss around bottles of alcohol.

“I dey busy dey change my gear. Time for gear two,” one of them says in the video.

It is yet to be known what division the drinking policemen are attached to.

In a different tweet, @ExpensiveM2, shared a picture of a police officer caught mixing dry marijuana in an ‘Operation Harmony Tactical Team’ jacket.

Reacting to the picture, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the public relations officer of the Nigerian police, stated that the indiscipline viral among police officers wasn’t endorsed by the force.

“I think this is Kwara. PPRO kwara to fish out this policeman and send him to my office at the FHQ immediately. Can u see this, too? It’s a personal thing. I have said it severally that it’s not systemic. How can a policeman on uniform, on duty, be taking ‘igbo‘?” He wrote.

On Sunday, some policemen attached to the Ajiwe division in Ajah, Lagos, shot and killed seven-month-pregnant Bolanle Raheem, a lawyer, while she was returning from church with her family.

Two out of the three police officers indicted have been released, while ASP Dambri Vandi, the suspected shooter, is still in custody at the State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID) unit in Panti, Yaba.

Several Nigerians want the police force overhauled.
